Poetry Month Haiku Challenge

Celebrate National Poetry Month with Carnegie-Stout Public Library by writing a haiku, a 3-line poem with 5 syllables in the first line, 7 in the second, and 5 in the third. All ages can stop by the Children's Desk or the Recommendations Desk to pick up special paper for writing your original haiku. Submit your poem by April 30 and we'll put it on display and enter you in a drawing for a chance to win a book and a library tote bag! One winner will be selected from each age group: 6 & under, 7-11, 12-17, and 18+.
