Nervous about venturing out into the wider world? Whether you’ve recently started college, are a high school senior, or you're just getting started on your own as an adult, this class will help you to be ready for whatever life throws at you. Bring your questions to this participant-lead 90-minute class.

Get a confidence boost and improve your self-defense skills at this hands-on class with instructor Eryka Cook of Empowermental. Eryka has decades of experience and a black belt in Karate and she wants you to feel empowered! 

Eryka will guide participants ages 17+ through a mix of basic and advanced moves. Participants of all ability levels are welcome to join in this fun and judgment free event. Do you have questions about what you should do in a particular situation? Eryka is happy to answer your questions!

Space for this event is limited and registration is required. This event is for adults ages 17+. A signed waiver is required to participate. If you are under the age of 18 a parent or guardian must also sign the waiver. Waivers can be provided in advance by contacting library staff at the Reference Desk.
