Event Details

Join us for a wingding at the library celebrating the bats of Dubuque County! Learn how these helpful pollinators play a vital role in our local ecology. All are welcome to attend, but children must be accompanied by an adult. There will be activities for all ages.

Codi Sharkey, Conservation Programs Manager of the National Mississippi River Museum, and Isabella Metcalf, AmeriCorps member with Dubuque County Conservation will present a lecture for teens and adults on local bat populations and how you can help them to thrive.

A team of sustainability outreach educators from the Dubuque Metropolitan Area Solid Waste Agency and Loras College will have a variety of crafts, stories, and activities for children to explore and learn about the world of bats.

Registration will help us to know how many supplies to have on hand.
