Program Description

Event Details

Join us twice a month on Friday mornings at the Dubuque Arboretum for an outdoor library program. From music to science and even dog tricks, this is the place for family educational fun. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, and masks. Social distancing is requested. These programs are located at and sponsored by the Dubuque Arboretum & Botanical Gardens. No rain dates. If it rains, join us on the Carnegie-Stout Public Library Facebook page for a virtual program.

During this high-energy and interactive performance, children are invited to join a musical “safari” where they meet different animals from all over the world through a set of rhythms. After meeting the animals, each child is given a percussion instrument and the jungle-jam begins! As the rhythms of the animals lock together, an exciting sense of community begins to develop. This program includes interactive songs, dancing, and of course, DRUMMING!
