The public is encouraged to attend and find out about the historic resource surveys of Deereville and Voelker Highlands with an open discussion and survey findings with the City of Dubuque Planning Department and Dubuque Heritage Works.  Deereville is a Mid-century Modern neighborhood built from 1946-1951 to house John Deere employees. Voelker Highlands is an Early modern neighborhood built 1916-1934 with Christian Voelker’s “Peer-a-Mid Stone” concrete blocks. This project is funded in part through a State of Iowa Certified Local Government grant with partners: Dubuque Heritage Works and City of Dubuque Planning Department. The Library is host for this event.
