Carnegie-Stout Public Library welcomes Dubuque native Seth Thill to read from his latest book of poetry Cover, Recover.
In 2022, Thill served a residency at The Harman Nature Reserve Center in Cedar Falls, Iowa. During that time he worked on what would become Cover, Recover. According to Thill, “The book is a meditation on the sometimes competing roles pop-culture and nature play in our lives, from the perspective of a grown-up latchkey kid who used both as coping mechanisms for various traumas and neurodivergencies over the years.”
Thill will be reading poems from his book and also sharing his thoughts on the role of poetry in our everyday lives and the process of publishing a book. This event is free and open to the public. Attendees can receive a free copy of Seth Thill’s book while supplies last.
