Carnegie-Stout Public Library welcomes author Tom Montgomery Fate for a book reading and signing of his latest title The Long Way Home: Detours and Discoveries.

Tom Fate is a professor emeritus at College DuPage in Glen Ellyn, Illinois, where he taught creative writing and literature courses for more than 30 years. The Long Way Home is a travel memoir that includes memories of his time spent in Maquoketa, Iowa. It is his sixth work of creative nonfiction. His essays have been aired on NPR, PRI, and Chicago Public Radio. You can learn more on his website: tomfate.com

This event is free and open to the public. Registration is not required. Copies of his book will be available for purchase at this event from River Lights Bookstore.

Tom will hold a writing workshop at Loras College on Tuesday, March 21 at 9:30 a.m. This workshop is free and open to the public, but seats are limited. To register for the workshop please contact Kevin Koch at kevin.koch@loras.edu
