Carnegie-Stout Public Library is excited to welcome romance novelist Meryl Wilsner for a virtual event! Meryl will share their debut novel Something to Talk About and answer reader questions. This virtual event will be held on Wednesday, June 9 at 6:00 p.m. CDT. Register for this event at bit.ly/WilsnerDBQ

Something to Talk About is a slow burn romance set in the high pressure world of Hollywood. Jo is a successful showrunner and former child star; Emma is her capable assistant on the verge of breaking into the industry. When the paparazzi start a red carpet rumor that these two women are an item, they start to realize that there just might be a spark of something more to their relationship!

Wilsner, a Michigan native, writes love stories about women who take so long to kiss you want to fling yourself into the sun. Their debut novel, Something to Talk About, received starred reviews from Kirkus, Publisher’s Weekly, Booklist, and Library Journal, as well as being one of Amazon, Kirkus, and NPR’s best books of 2020. Some of Meryl’s favorite things include: all four seasons, button down shirts, the way giraffes run, and their wife. You can learn more about Meryl Wilsner on their website: www.merylwilsner.com
