Art @ your library® show opens to the public for August/September features two talented local artists Peggy Jo Brekke and Merlan Marting.
Painter and illustrator Peggy Brekke sharing artworks themed around nature, animals and people. She hopes the viewer of her artworks appreciates light, color and expression of hope in her pieces.
Shortly after wood carver Merlan Marting retired and closed Marting’s Shoes he began carving wood objects. Carving miscellaneous wood pieces, forms began to take shape into walking sticks, canes, birds, animals, and whatever he could envision in the piece of wood he is holding.
Enjoy this unique show that is free and open during regular Library hours through September 26, 2023. The reception for the artists is schedule for 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Friday, September 1, 2023
The Library is celebrating Art @ your library® by featuring unique local exhibits. The first Friday of every other month there is an art show opening that features two dimensional and three dimensional artists for a display in the historic rotunda area. The art is on display for up to two months.
