UPDATE: All bulb kits have been claimed.
Carnegie-Stout Public Library is pleased to offer a free Amaryllis bulb and planting kit to a limited number of library patrons. This kit was created by Ray Kruse with the Dubuque County Extension Office. The kits include the bulb, a pot, potting mix and the URL to a YouTube video showing the planting instructions. In order to receive a free amaryllis bulb kit, you must have a current, regular Carnegie-Stout Public Library card and be a City of Dubuque resident, 18 or older. Once the bulb kits have arrived at the library, you must be able to pick them up within three days of our email notification. One bulb kit per household. Please note: Amaryllis bulbs, leaves, stalks, and flowers are poisonous if consumed by humans and pets. There is not an event to attend for this registration. You will receive an email to come pick up the free bulb and follow the instructions that are included in the kit. Update: we have added a waitlist. If anyone is not able to pick up their bulbs within the requested time, we will move on to the waitlist.
